Michigan Weather

Climate data varies due to many factors such as latitude and longitude and location (near a coast line or large body of water or surrounded by land).  Each year Accord Publishing puts together a Weather Calendar that includes climatic data from around the United States and the world. The calendar includes data for three Michigan cities: Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Marquette.

Monthly climatic data will be provided here for those three cities.  Data will include:

Average maximum and minimum daily temperatures,

Average maximum and minimum daily precipitation,

Record maximum and minimum temperatures,

Mean number of days precipitation per month with .01” or more precipitation,

Average monthly rainfall and snowfall totals,

Extreme monthly rainfall and snowfall totals,

Mean number of clear days per month (with cloud cover of less than 3/10),

Mean number of cloudy days per month (with cloud cover of 8/10 or more),

Average wind speed.

The data is contained in an Excel spreadsheet. To download, click ==> here.
