Conference News

The 2012 MESTA Conference will be held August 15-19 at Michigan Technical University (in Houghton).  The conference will be a joint conference with NESTA (National Earth Science Teachers Association). A number of field trips and classroom workshops will be offered. More details will be coming by mid-February.

The 2011 MESTA Conference was held at Western Michigan University (in Kalamazoo).  The conference featured a trip look at glacial stratigraphy and slope stability on Friday, and a trip to the Michigan Geological Repository For Research and Education and a number of workshops and lectures on Saturday.

The 2010 MESTA Conference was held at Lake Superior State University (in Sault Ste. Marie). The conference featured a Galileoscope workshop and a visit to Canada (to collect rock specimens) on Friday, and a number of workshops and lectures on Saturday.
